West Side Rowing Club

• Formed in 1912 with the purpose of teaching the sport of rowing to the youth of Western New York

• A non-profit organization run by volunteers

• Original Club-house burned down in 1975 (on Broderick Park site) and lost all but 7 of itıs shells

• Clubhouse was rebuilt on the current site and now has over 60 shells

• The club sponsors many programs: learn-to-row for adults and youth, High School, adult recreational and highly competitive menıs and womenıs Masterıs program.

• Has produced 10 Olympians & 34 national U.S. team members
